Abyss & Apex : Fourth Quarter 2007: Sailors Take Warning

Sailors Take Warning

Robin M. Mayhall

It is evening
And you and I
Lie on a hillside
Watching a storm roll in
Unfolding toward us slowly
And majestically from far in the west through a reddening sky
Which is supposed to mean good weather –
And you and I laugh
As we lie together on a blanket on a hillside
Conjuring rain
