Resurrection Man
by Christa A. Bergerson
he collects
traveling home to hovel
peaking through cracks
in doors, windows, foxholes
and eyes
selfishly imbibing
their final astral
ascension
each departure
when shattered auras rise
he gathers their dust
the futility of hope
blinding him to his mortality
blood lust for life
