A&A Reviews Dueling Six Demons

Dueling Six Demons (Discus Books)

by Jim Geraghty

The Dangerous Clique novels have a paranormal edge to them and if you like spy thrillers you’ll love these books.

The “Dangerous Clique” is a group of CIA misfits that go into situations where bending the rules is the only way to get things done. It’ll make you think of the camaraderie between the people on NCIS or Criminal Minds–but they fight really twisted terrorists. Their long-suffering FBI liaison officer and their bosses put up with them because, like a high-tech & high caliber (we’re talking bullets here) A-Team, the Clique is all about results.

The problem here is that someone invented a quantum computer that is doing impossible data breaches that threaten the peace of the world and the very bedrock of world economics. It hacked into a Swiss bank, for example, and outed all the undercover agents for Russia, the USA and China. Whoever this was had to be stopped and the agencies from all three countries both fought and cooperated to bring them in. Except, there was that paranormal aspect. Who, or what, were they really fighting?
